- In Latin., Script: the manuscript proper (artt. 4-11), is copied by two hands very close to each other: A copied ff. 1r-151r (upper half), 151v-155r, and 156v in Gothica Semitextualis Libraria; B copied ff. 151r (lower half) and 155v-156r. Art. 1 is copied by a 15th century hand using deviant spellings. Art. 2 is in 16th century Humanistica Cursiva. Art. 3 (the endleaves) is in large Carolingian handwriting., Decoration: Red headings and stroking of majuscules; red line-fillers for verses; red or blue paragraph marks. The text copied by hand B as well as the additional artt. 1 and 2 are undecorated. Art. 3 (the endleaves) has red heading and red stroking., and Binding: contemporary, undecorated white leather (deerskin?) over wooden boards, sewn onto three split leather thongs. The remains of a leather strap are attached to the front board and closes over a pin (lost) in the center of the rear board.

- Description:
- In Latin., Ten illuminated initials of good quality, 19- to 6-line, drawn in brown ink against medium blue, reddish orange and/or ochre grounds. The initials are constructed of scrolling vines with stylized foliage and/or winged dragons, with vines issuing from their mouths, accentuated or shaded in red. Some initials inhabited by winged dragons, f. 10v with grotesque (outlined by prickings), f. 25r with a nude male figure. Headings in red., and Binding: Nineteenth century, France. Brown, diced calf with a gold-tooled spine and title: "Confescion/ Santti/ Augustini" and "Manuscrit/ du 12^e siecle".

- In Latin., Script: copied by one hand in Gothica Hybrida Formata., Decoration: Stroking of majuscules, paragraph marks, underlinings and headings all in red. 3-line plain initials alternately in red and blue at the opening of the chapters, sometimes with white decoration. Generally undecorated after f. 36., and Binding: original, brown leather over wooden boards. Spine has four raised bands. The covers are blind-tooled with frames and lozenges traced in triple fillets and floral designs. Red leather tabs at the beginning of each book of the art. 2 and at the beginning of art. 3.

- Description:
- In Latin., Script: Copied in Praegothica by three hands., Headings in red. Art. 1 has plain initials (Capitalis, ca. 4 lines) in red, followed by a word in Capitalis/Uncialis. The book opens with an 8-line Romanesque decorated initial in red and black. Art. 2 opens with a black capital followed by two words in Capitalis. Art. 3 is decorated with 1-line initials in black with heightening in red and opens with a 4-line red plain initial., Holes, original repairs and sometimes irregular lower edges., and Binding: Early (probably original) binding in pigskin over heavy unbevelled wooden boards. The covers are blind-tooled with fillets. On the front cover the fillets make a St. Andrews cross, at a later time decorated with trees in Lederschnitt, countless small circular stamps and a few stars (?); the rear cover, with fillets in lozenge pattern, has only the circular stamps and the stars. Spine with three raised bands. On each cover marks of five brass and iron bosses. Two clasps attached to the rear cover. At the top of the front cover an original paper library label with the title (partly rewritten) "Expositio beati Augustini super Psalmo CXXXIIII et deinceps usque ad finem". The binding is strengthened by means of parchment strips placed around the first quire and taken from a 13th-century Latin manuscript.
