- Manuscript fragments, on parchment, of an English Bible. The bound volume consists of 75 leaves containing the complete texts of the Gospels, the Pauline Epistles and Hebrews. The disbound fragment consists of 62 leaves of Old Testament texts, including most of Jeremiah and Proverbs, most of Zachariah, and 1 and 2 Machabees.

- Binding: seventeenth-century Cambridge-style paneled calf, blind-tooled; rebacked., Decoration: rubricated. The volume contains 39 illuminated marginal initials, many with long marginal extensions incorporating animals or monsters. The disbound leaves contain several smaller initials. Some illuminated initials, and some leaves that most likely contained illuminated initials, appear to have been cut out in the disbound leaves., In volume: ownership inscription of Thomas Martin (1697-1771); ex libris Thomas Barber; ownership inscription of Emily Bagot. Endleaves are fragments of a Missal (Italy, 15th century)., Part I: Red (?) chapter headings in larger script written at the right of the text. Red paragraph marks. Red heightening of majuscules on ff. 1r and 10 v only. 2-line (exceptionally 1- or 3-line) early flourished initials in red with red flourishing (red filling on f. 10r). 5-line red, blue and white initial with strapwork decoration on f. 1r. Part II: Chapter headings in red, centered. Red 2-line plain initials (Capitalis)., Part II adapted to the size of part I by pasting strips of parchment to the bottom of the bifolios. The five outer bifolios (ff. 11-15 and 18-22) are palimpsest: leaves from a manuscript in two columns, the text transversal to the textus rescriptus; the inner bifolium (ff. 16-17) is of bad quality; the upper corners of ff. 11 and 22 are missing with loss of text and have been repaired with blank parchment., and Script: Part I (ff. 1-10): Copied by one hand writing Praegothica with wide distance between the lines. Pasteboard covered with large sections of two parchment leaves from a 15th-century antiphonary (?) from Germany, with Hufnagel notation on 4-line staves traced in black, brown and red. The handwriting is Gothica Textualis Formata. The leaf on the rear cover has the folio number “208”., Script: Copied by one hand in early Gothica Textualis Libraria., and Space for headings not used. A red line-filler on f. 21v. Plain initials of 1-3 lines in red, located partially in the text, partially in the margin, at the beginning of all artt. (except artt. 4, 6 and 12); in art. 1 also at the beginning of the text itself. The words after an initial generally in majuscules; other words often in majuscules are “Maria”, “rex Salomon”, “Amen”.
