One of them holds his hat and wig in his left hand and wipes his bald head with a handkerchief, the other, with his waistcoat unbuttoned and his coat thrown over his shoulder, wipes his forehead. The verse following the title beginning "From London to Highgate ..." mocks Londoners' popular habit of going up to Highgate Hill on Sundays
