On the left are smaller images of Mission San José, Mission Conception, Courthouse, and an untitled image of a man riding a hay-burdened mule. On the right are smaller images of the Alamo, Mission San Juan, an untitled image of a wooden structure (possibly a hacienda), and an untitled image of a horseman lassoing a steer. These vignettes are interspersed with ornamental images of an African-American (?) worker, a bear, a hunter with his dog, and a jaguar
