- Manuscript, in a single hand, of a collection of approximately 105 poems divided into "Miscellaneous Pieces," "Songs," "Cantatas," "Odes," Satirical Pieces," "Mock-Pieces relating to the Stage," and "Imitations." The first "Imitation" is a sonnet concerning an abortion scandal surrounding Mademoiselle de Guerchi in 1660, and is addressed in her voice to her aborted "embrio;" other poem titles include "An Ode, Inscrib'd to his grace the Duke of Buckingham, on his Embarking for France," "The paper Bonnets worn by Ladys," "On seeing lewd Women refus'd Admittance," "Fungus," "The poor & Rich Rogue," "Prologue to a Puppet-Show," and "The Shipwrack'd Sailors." The collection is prefaced by a dedication to Viscount Nessuno in the voice of an "orphan Muse" who writes, "should she beg your Lordship...to favour her with a corner of the Green-house in delightful Groves of Utopia; there to correct at Leisure, the numberless Reams she has scribbled within these twelve years: And should she afterwards implore your Lordship to assist the publication of her labours, by raising a handsom subscription among your friends for that purpose...she is certain your Lordship would not deny her one of them." Many additional poems, in a smaller hand and with numerous corrections, appear in the margins.

- Binding: Nineteenth century, England. Light brown leather, gold-tooled. Gilt edges. Rebacked. Title on spine: "Alexander de Villa Dei Doctrinale. MS: In Memb". Bound for Henry Drury by C. Lewis in 1820., One historiated initial, f. 1r, 6-line, pink, red, and green with white filigree on gold ground thinly edged in black, with a half-length portrait of a teacher in red robes and a red cap holding a book, against a blue ground with white filigree. In the lower margin arms of the Pesaro family of Venice (per pale indented or and azure), framed by scrolling acanthus, green, red, blue, and pink. Plain initials and paragraph marks both alternate blue and red. Headings in red., and Script: Written in round gothic bookhand by a single scribe, below top line.

- Manuscript, on paper, in three hands (Anglicana and early secretary), produced in northern England, probably Durham, during the second quarter of the fifteenth century.
- Description:
- Binding: original oak boards, with leather or vellum spine missing. The middles of the quires are bound with fragments of a Latin theological manuscript of the fourteenth century., Contains name "Roger? Willims" on f. 56r., and The text of the poem is incomplete, beginning at line 2501 and ending at line 12363, with gaps. It includes an "interpolation" of 126 lines between lines 6546 and 6547 which consists of lines 5377-5414 of the Anglo-Norman poem on which Mannyng's translation is based, "Le Manuel des Pechiez (Peches)."
