- Maria Walpole (1736-1807) was the daughter of Sir Edward Walpole (1706-1784) and his common-law wife Dorothy Clement (1715?-1739). She married first, in 1759, James Waldegrave (1714-1763), Earl Waldegrave, and second, in 1766, Prince William Henry Hanover (1743-1805), Duke of Gloucester and Edinburgh. and Miniature attached to larger paper backing, mounted in early 20th century bezel; it was probably originally set in a locket or bracelet clasp.

- Edward Walpole Jr. (1737-1771) was the son of Sir Edward Walpole (1706-1784) and his common-law wife Dorothy Clement (1715-1739). Born September 22, 1737, and baptized at St. James, Piccadilly, he was a student of Rev. Thomas Newcomb (1682?-1765) in Homerton, near Hackney, before entering an apprenticeship in May 1753 at the insurance office of John Peter Blaquière in Austin Friars, City of London. By 1755 Sir Edward Walpole was actively seeking a military commission for him with the Dragoon Guards. Lieutenant Colonel Edward Walpole was traveling to the south of France for his health when he died in Calais on March 31, 1771. - Sir Edward Walpole (1706-1784) was the fourth child and second son born to Robert Walpole (1676-1745), chancellor of the Exchequer and first prime minister of Great Britain, and his wife Catherine Shorter (1782-1737). His younger brother was the author and antiquarian collector Horace Walpole (1717-1797). Edward Walpole graduated from Eton (1718) and King’s College, Cambridge (1725) before becoming master of pleas in the Office of the Exchequer in 1727 and clerk of the pells, a lifetime appointment, when his older brother Robert resigned from that position in 1739. Walpole also served in Parliament from 1730 until 1768 representing in succession Lostwithiel and Great Yarmouth and became a Knight of the Bath in 1753. With his common-law wife Dorothy Clement (1715?-1739) he was the father of one son and three daughters. - Drawing of the Armory at Strawberry Hill. On display in an alcove on the left is the armor of Francis I, to the right of which hangs the shield painted with the head of Perseus. Other armor and weapons are displayed on a wall near the center of the design. Two thin columns extend down from the ceiling with decorative arches formed between them. A stained glass window is visible on the back wall, and the ornate railing of a staircase is present in the left foreground. A quiver with arrows (?) hangs on the wall in the right foreground; various armorial shields and pieces of art also decorate the walls. A vase and a carved box sit on the floor

- Abstract:
- A drawing of the Holbein Chamber at Horace Walpole's home, Strawberry Hill in Twickenham. An arched passageway is seen near the center of the image, thorough which a canopy bed and a chair are visible. On either side of the passageway are pierced arches forming a screen, the design for which was taken from the gates of the choir of Rouen. Wooden furniture lines the wall of the room at left, above which framed works of art hang. Across the room on the right is the chimneypiece designed after the tomb of Archbishop Warham at Canterbury; an embroidered firescreen and two blue vases sit in front of the fireplace. The ornate ceiling, taken from the Queen's dressing-room at Windsor, dominates the top half of the image; a large, colorful rug sits on the floor in the center of the room
