A bare-breasted woman [Catherine II of Russia] wearing a nightdress, a crown on her head, and pearls at her throat, holds a dagger in her hand as she addresses Pitt who stands before her: "Which you please, young man. If your instrument entered it would make no impression that I'd care a fig for." Pitt also in a nightdress and holding a dagger, asks, "Shall we or shall we not?"
