- Binding: Nineteenth century, Italy (?). Half bound in vellum with a gold-tooled spine and Spanish marbled sides. Ribbon bookmark., Script: Written in gothic bookhand by a single scribe, above top line., Spaces left for initials remain unfilled, except on f. 25r where there are three poorly executed initials in red; guide letters for decorator. Paragraph marks and initial strokes, in red., and Watermarks, along upper edge: unidentified mountain and hunting horn.

- Binding: Early quarter binding, undecorated ... leather and beech boards. Spine with three raised bands and remnants of a printed paper title label: "[Tr]attato / della Vit[a] / Cristian[a] / di F. / Simone / da Casci[a]". Remnants of one clasp, attached to the rear board. On the front board the large 18th century (?) pressmark written in black ink "25.", In art. 2 red headings, heightening of majuscules and 2- or 3-line plain initials in the same colour, with guide letters; some initials have a slight penwork decoration. The additional texts are not decorated., Original foliation in Arabic numerals. Quires strengthened at inner and outer sides by means of parchments stays, cut from an erased manuscript., and Script: Art. 2 is copied by one hand in Gothica Cursiva Libraria/Formata (Cancelleresca). The scribe Agniolo Donati is unrecorded. A slightly later hand copied the additional art. 1 in Gothica Cursiva Libraria. Art. 3 was added by a hand writing a rapid Gothica Cursiva Libraria/Currens difficult to decipher.

- Binding: Parchment wrappers with turned edges., Contemporary pagination contains some errors., Red stroking of majuscules on pp. 1-11, 22-31, 44-51, 64-73, 88-93 only.There is ample space for headings and initials (with guide letters), but they have not been executed, except headings in Gothica Textualis on pp. 46, 49, 51, 66, 71, 92; plain red Gothic initials (4 lines) on pp. 46 , 49, 51, 66, 71, 92; a few initials have been entered at a later date., and Script: Copied by two scribes: artt. 1-3 copied by a scribe called Stephanus in Humanistica Semitextualis Libraria; according to Barbero this scribe is perhaps identifiable with Stefano Guarnieri; art. 4 is by a scribe writing a script halfway between Humanistica Textualis Libraria and Cursiva Libraria. The opening majuscules of paragraphs protrude into the margin.
