Manuscript fragment on parchment of Lamentations, 3.13-51 (52-56 obscured). Written at Luxeuil or one of its affiliated houses. Fifteen folios from the original codex survive, most of which may be traced to the Benedictine abbey of Admont in Austria. Most of the verses in the Beinecke fragment have received neumes, possibly added later (11th century?).

In Latin., Script: Copied by one hand writing in Gothica Cursiva Formata (Bastarda)., and Decoration: Purplish red rubrics. Yellow highlighting of the majuscules. 1-line versals and 2- or 3-line initials, all in liquid gold on purplish red or blue square background decorated with foliage or flowers in liquid gold. Initials in red, blue, and gold. On f. 1v, there is a rectangular picture, framed in black and gold and treated as an initial 11 lines high, of God the Father with tiara, sitting, one hand on the globe, the other hand blessing rows of Seraphim and Cherubim before him. Elsewhere yellow-colored fleur-de-lys, animals, archers and a giant insects.

In Latin., Script: Written in bold, well spaced, and slightly rounded gothic bookhand., and Red hufnagel neumes scattered over the text for the subdeacon who reads the Epistle at Mass. On recto, space of 12 lines (140 mm.) left blank between arts. 1 and 2, perhaps for a miniature. 5-line initial in red, ending in pen and ink flourishes. On verso, illuminated initial C, 11-line, of poor quality, on brownish-red ground within rectangular frame of bright orange, green, and blue. Initial in white with bands of gold and silver; two gold-bordered medallions with white-blue centers, resembling jewels or mirrors. Initial encloses full-length figure of St. Andrew holding cross of his martyrdom. Text initials touched with red.

In Latin., Script: Written by a single scribe in liturgical gothic script., Carefully executed initials, 3-line, on blue or pink rectangles outlined in black, mark the beginning of each psalm; partial cusped borders, also in blue and pink, attached to each. Initials infilled with intertwining vines, often on gold ground, sometimes with small animals; modest use of gold dots inside rectangular grounds and borders. 1-line initials of blue with red penwork with blue dots and of gold with blue penwork and red dots. Line-fillers in combinations of red, blue and gold (various linear and flower designs)., and Binding: Nineteenth century. Bound in a piece of blind-tooled brown calf, once part of a 17th-18th century binding. Front pastedown and flyleaf from a Bible concordance, version 3 (France, ca. 1300).
