Stamped below photograph, recto:"Flora Stewart, Londonderry, N.H. Aged 117 years. Taken Nov. 5, 1867." Accompanied by clipping from The Manchester Mirror, 1867, identifying subject as oldest person living in N.H. and providing biographical information of interest. In ink at base of clipping, "Died Aug. 17, 1869."

Recto, in ink: "Aunt Nancy's baby and nurse. Aunt Nancy's baby was Grandfather Wilcox's sister or half-sister. The baby was left in nurse's care when parents were gone. She had picture taken -- and shut her eyes so that her picture would not be recorded! The baby died while the parents were away.

Thompson (1804-1878), British, active in the agitation against slavery in the British colonies. Trips to the US to lecture on the abolition of slavery 1835, 1851, and during the Civil War. May also be seen in a Daguerreotype (#2) along with William Lloyd Garrison and Wendell Phillips.
