Binding: Parchment wrappers with turned edges., Contemporary pagination contains some errors., Red stroking of majuscules on pp. 1-11, 22-31, 44-51, 64-73, 88-93 only.There is ample space for headings and initials (with guide letters), but they have not been executed, except headings in Gothica Textualis on pp. 46, 49, 51, 66, 71, 92; plain red Gothic initials (4 lines) on pp. 46 , 49, 51, 66, 71, 92; a few initials have been entered at a later date., and Script: Copied by two scribes: artt. 1-3 copied by a scribe called Stephanus in Humanistica Semitextualis Libraria; according to Barbero this scribe is perhaps identifiable with Stefano Guarnieri; art. 4 is by a scribe writing a script halfway between Humanistica Textualis Libraria and Cursiva Libraria. The opening majuscules of paragraphs protrude into the margin.

In Italian., Script: Written by one scribe in humanistic bookhand., Six fine miniatures. Each miniature, 12- to 9-line, is rectangular, framed with a thin band of burnished gold (except on f. 39r, a square 14-line miniature in a purple frame edged on both sides with gold). On f. 3v, a full border: putti with swags in upper margin [trimmed], white-vine ornament in side and lower margins, the ground predominantly blue, with some green and pink and with white dots; in outer and lower margin, a gold trellis, with polygonal medallions at corners and midpoints, containing a capital I, and the busts of a child, youth, and young woman; finely drawn animals (stag, goat, panther, rabbit, and fox) superimposed over border. In the lower margin of f. 1r is a coat-of-arms (effaced), supported by four putti and with birds in surrounding vine ornament. For the other miniatures, partial borders with dark blue, green, pink and gold flowers and gold dots and hair-spray. Small medallions containing the letters I, A, C, O, P, O incorporated into successive borders form the name Iacopo (probably the man who commissioned the volume). 3-line initials of gold, infilled green and pink, with delicate white filigree, against blue grounds. Headings and initial of each tercet in gold., and Binding: Eighteenth century. Gilt, gauffered edges. Red calf, gold-tooled with a ribbon border, acorns in the corners and a diced central ornament.

Manuscript, on paper, in two unidentified hands, containing Guglielmo da Saliceto's Summa conservationis et curationis (ff. 1r-275r). Followed, in a third hand, by an alphabetical glossary of plants in Latin and German (ff. 275r-278r). Ends with the text of the Chirurgia (ff. 280-364), ending imperfectly. Texts of the Summa conservationes et curationis and of the Chirurgia were likely written separately in Italy, but bound in Germany

Binding was rebacked and repaired in the 20th century; pastedown and flyleaf were added (watermark "P" with 4 petals on top, not located in Briquet). Binding: 19th century (?). Quarter binding, parchment (from a music manuscript with 4-line red staves?) and paper printed in a rose and white decorative pattern over cardboard. On the front cover, in s. XIX handwriting: "Trattato di morale e teologia"; on the spine, in 19th century handwriting: "M.S. / 1421". Blue sprinkled edges., Headings in red. Alternately red and blue paragraph marks. 2- and 3-line flourished initials alternately in red and blue with very developed penwork in the contrasting colours in the left margin or in the intercolumnar space; at both ends the penwork terminates in conspicuous corkscrew ornament. 3- and 4-line litterae duplices with a yet more elaborate execution of the same type of penwork on ff. 2r (beginning of art. 2), 35v (2, beginning of art. 3), 52v (beginning of art. 4).
