In Italian., Script: Written by one hand in a slightly shaky Southern Gothica Textualis Formata (Rotunda), the majuscules partly in Roman Capitals. Headings in clumsily executed Capitals with crossed letter I., Headings in red. 2- or 3-line plain initials alternately red and blue, with guide-letters. Larger initials with some flourishing at the beginning of each work., and Binding: Eighteenth century (?). White parchment over cardboard. On the spine the title is written "Panormit: de' Fatti d'Alfonso, e Pontano del Princip: MS." and at the bottom, partly worn off, the early shelf-mark "Cass. 1 58 an (?) x9".

Land grant, manuscript on parchment, originally made to Alonzo Prieto, and awarded after his death to his brother Gonzalo Prieto, following litigation. The grant, valued at 35,000 maravedis annually, was given to defray the costs of preparing land and naval forces to protect Spain and the Catholic Church, particularly from the "Gran Turco" ( Süleyman I). Four ships carrying gold and silver were to arrive from Peru to support this. The text refers to places and dates in the years 1535-1536. The end of the document, apparently written when the authorizing signatures were added, gives the location as Valladolid, and the date as 27 February 1537

Plain initials, 2- to 1-line, and paragraph marks, in red; on f. 15v only, two initials, 1-line, and paragraph mark in blue.
