Presented to Yale by Salisbury in 1870., and The first text in this volume was extracted from a book obtained by the Rev. Eli Smith from Mekhaîl Meshâka of Damascus. The second text was obtained through the courtesy of Louis von Wildenbruch, Prussian Consul General of Syria (died before Oct. 25, 1849), whose dragoman, Mr. Catafago, found it near Aleppo. The third text was also obtained through von Wildenbruch.
