On the wall to the left of the shrine hangs the panel showing Humphrey Duke of Gloucester praying, and on the wall to the right hangs the panel showing an old man in a stable; these panels originally came from the abbey of St. Edmundsbury. In the shadows beneath the shrine, beyond its twisted columns, sits the cross inlaid with mother-of-pearl. Watercolor drawing depicting part of the Little Cloister at Strawberry Hill. The blue and white china tub is featured prominently on its pedestal on the right; the bas-relief head of Leonora d'Este hangs on the wall above the tub. The arched ceiling leads to an arched passageway in the middle distance, through which a walking man can be seen. The exterior door leading to the hall and staircase can be seen at left, as can the stained glass windows of this room and the Star Chamber above it.

A drawing of the room at Horace Walpole's Strawberry Hill villa that connected the Gallery with the Holbein Chamber. An arched passageway dominates the right side of the image, thorough which the edge of a canopy bed and a chair are visible. Beyond this furniture is another arched passageway leading into the Holbein Chamber, with the chimneypiece and its surroundings plainly visible. The long and narrow connecting room makes up the foreground, its walls and ceiling decorated with the simple motif of parallel lines periodically intersecting to create a lattice.
