In Latin., Watermarks: unidentified mountain and unidentified animal obscured by text., Script: Written by a single scribe in small neat fere-humanistic script. Marginal notes by several writers (15th-16th centuries), one of whom added running titles in upper right-hand corner (recto)., A large empty space on f. 1r indicates that a miniature of ca. 27 lines was planned for the opening of the text. One 7-line initial, f. 1r, shaded pink and orange, with red, green, and blue acanthus leaves on dark blue, with white filigree, against a gold ground edged thickly in black. In the border, a red, blue, and gold flower, with spiraling vines above and below, green, light blue, red, brown, the spirals filled with dark blue or gold, with white filigree. Large gold dots with four black spikes. 2- and 1-line paragraph marks in red or blue throughout. Instructions to the rubricator in margins., and Binding: Twentieth century. Brown goatskin with gold-tooled title. Bound by Sangorski and Sutcliffe (London, 1901 to the present).

In lower margin an unidentified coat of arms (or, on a chief azur a parrot vert beaked gules) in a laurel wreath; accompanied by gold balls, hair-sprays, and simple floral patterns. In Spanish., Watermarks: similar to Briquet Main 11154., Script: Written by a single scribe in a neat humanistic bookhand, with a somewhat smaller script for the surrounding commentary., Two initials (both f. 1r), the first, 5-line, for the rubric, purple with red penwork; immediately below, the second, for the text, 9-line, the upper portion red, filled with purple penwork, the lower portion purple, filled with red; attached to a thick bar border (side and lower margins) of red and purple vine scrolls in pen, with touches of light brown. One 7-line initial (f. 88r) red, with purple penwork, with exuberant loops and flourishes extending into top and side margins. Depictions of various implements, in black, within text (ff. 37v, 72v, 114r, 115r, 125r, 127r, and 137r). 3-line initials, paragraph marks, and headings in red throughout (except f. 1r, on which, in keeping with the initials, some of the paragraph marks are purple)., and Binding: 17th-18th centuries. Limp vellum case; title, now illegible, on spine. Front and back pastedown and back flyleaf contain extensive Latin legal references (17th century).

Repairs at outer edges on this and other folios do not affect text., and Binding: 18th-19th centuries. Rigid vellum case with paste paper back endleaf and pastedowns.
