One of his two companions puts up his hand to hold off the assistance of the doctor as his other companion beckons to a carpenter who carries a plank of wood and a saw in addition to his lunch pail. A woman stands at the window looking out on the scene, her finger to her nose and a slight smile on her face. A small dog walks along the road beside the approaching carpenter
