A pretty woman stands in the doorway (the sign for the inn just visible over her head) holding another large tankard of foaming beer in her hands; beside her a short country man smokes his pipe, his beer on the bench beside the trough. On the right in the background, unnoticed by the party at the inn, one man helps a woman climb a ladder into the back of the wagon as another in the wagon helps her climb
