The album opens with views of Washington, D.C., West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, and Mississippi and includes 23 photographs of sites in New Orleans. In Texas there are views of a limestone quarry in Kerrville; buildings in San Antonio, including the Alamo; and Missions San José and San Juan. In California there are views of public buildings in Los Angeles and Pasadena; Missions San Gabriel, San Fernando and Santa Barbara; agriculture in Covina and Riverside; and wharves at Redondo and San Pedro.

A series of images relate to the Mexican revolution including images of revolutionary troops, military installations, casualties, and dead federal soldiers at Cananea, Naco and Agua Prieta, Sonora. Several images show machine guns and artillery outside the machine shop of the Cananea Consolidated Copper Company, which Maderista revolutionaries under the command of General Alvaro Obregón had captured from General Pedro Ojeda at Naco, Sonora in April 1913., Images of locations in the city of Cananea include the Hotel Alexandria, Sonora Hotel, and city jail. Images of people in Cananea include a view of men in conversation on a street, with one of the men identified as George Wiswall, general manager of the Cananea Cattle Company, and the other man the revolutionary general, Alvaro Obregón; Thomas Keys driving an automobile; and a studio portrait of a Chinese man, identified as "Lee from the Hotel Alexandria" posed sitting in an automobile., Images of ranching activities include cowboys and ranchers riding horses, herding cattle, lassoing livestock, branding steers, eating around a chuck wagon, and competing in rodeos at locations on the Cananea Ranch, including corrals located in Moreta and San Juan, and a ranch house in Nogales. Images of identified cowboys and ranchers include Roy Adams, Arthur Dunbar, Dick Hays, William H. Holmes, Cal Musgrave, Sherman Rinehart, E. T. Strickland, Fred Walker, and Sam Watson, in addition to a division foreman, Donald G. Valentine, and Charles Wright, the corral boss of the Cananea Consolidated Copper Company. Several men and horses are identified in images by their nicknames. William Cornell Greene, a rancher, mine owner, and investor, had established and operated both of these ventures during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. William Holmes was a ranch foreman at the Cananea Ranch., and Views of copper smelting operations for the Cananea Consolidated Copper Company, include images of ore bins, smelters, shops, and railroad yard. Several images show a crowd of Mexican miners awaiting a conference with James S. "Rawhide Jimmy" Douglas, Jr., the general manager of the Cananea Consolidated Copper Company during a strike in April 1913. An additional image shows a group of men that includes Harry Gooding, after installing a steam turbine in the powerhouse at Cananea, ca. 1905.

Accompanying leaflets consist of essays, "Frank Bennett Fiske," by Frank Vyzralek, and "Frank Fiske and Western Photography," by Rod Stemmens., Exterior portraits of Lakota men consist of an image of White Bull posed standing in a meadow holding a calumet, and an image of a man posed standing, wearing a feather headdress, and holding a bow, beaded quiver, and lance. An exterior view shows two council tipis decorated with depictions of horses., Group portraits of Lakota men include two Lakota men identified as wranglers, and an image of two Lakota men holding the outstretched wings of a dead golden eagle, with a man holding a rifle identified as Herbert Keeps Eagle. An additional studio portrait of nine unidentified men consists of three Lakota men and six white men in clerical dress, identified as priests at the mission., Lakota men portrayed include Black Bear, Gray Hawk, Iron Star, Kicks Iron, Kicks the Iron, One Bull, Rain in the Face, Red Fish, Red Fox, Sharp Horn Bull, White Bear, and Yellow Hawk. Studio portraits of Joe No Heart show him wearing traditional regalia in one and wearing contemporary clothing and a police badge in another. An additional studio portrait depicts Fiske as a child, holding a rifle, dressed in a fringed buckskin jacket and pants., Portraits originally created by Frank Bennett Fiske, primarily of Lakota (Teton) Indians, ca. 1895-1930. Most of the images were created at his photographic studio at Fort Yates, North Dakota, and most of the Lakota people in the images lived on the Standing Rock Agency. Images consist of views of the gravesite and residences of Brigham Young, including the Beehive and Lion houses, and the Gardo House. Other scenes include the Salt Lake City and County Building, interiors of the Mormon Tabernacle, and a location identified as Rose Bank Cottage in the 20th Ward of Salt Lake City. The collection also includes views of the pavilion at Saltair Resort, including a photograph of a drawing, and of the Garfield Beach Resort, administered by the Union Pacific Railway Company, featuring surf bathers and the mooring of a large steamboat, probably the General Garfield, also known as the City of Corinne.
