Marston unknown., Folios 65-66, perhaps removed from a binding, are not conjugate: f. 66 is glued to the conjugate stub of f. 65., Part I: Blue initial, 6-line, with parchment designs and red penwork harping patterns on f. 1r. Plain initials, 4- to 3-line alternate red and blue. Headings, underlining, paragraph marks and chapter numbers, some initial strokes, in red. Guide letters for decorator in margins. Parts II and III: Spaces left for decorative initials remain unfilled. Part IV: One initial, 2-line, on f. 65v and remains of another on conjugate stub: red with crudely drawn penwork designs in black and red. Headings, paragraph marks and initial strokes in orange-tinged red. Part V: On ff. 68r-69r every other entry begins with a 1-line plain blue initial; second letter of each entry washed with yellow; citations of Arabic numerals in red. Binding: Nineteenth century, France. Black goatskin, blind-tooled, with gold-tooled doublures. Bound by L. Magnin, Lyon. Stains from fore-edge clasps of earlier binding on early parchment flyleaf., Divided intials, red and blue, 6- to 5-line, with pen flourishes in red and blue, mark major text divisions; initial on f. 1r has simple border extending down inner margin. Small initials, 3- to 2-line, alternate red and blue, with penwork flourishes in opposite color. Headings (some missing) and running headlines in red. Paragraph marks alternate red and blue. (Perhaps the author is to be identified with Andreas Franchi de Pistorio (1335-1401)). 4) Prayers ascribed to St. Augustine. 5) The Apostles' Creed as supposed to be jointly composed by the twelve Apostles; the Seven Sacraments; the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit; the Seven Virtues; the Seven Mortal Sins; the Ten Commandments; the Works of Charity; the Ten Impediments of Penance; the Fifteen Signs announcing the Last Judgment. 6) Prayer to the Virgin., and Script: the main section (articles 2-5) is copied by a single hand writing Southern Gothica Textualis Libraria; the headings in Southern Gothica Semitextualis Libraria. Article 6 is in Semitextualis under Hybrida influence; the two final Latin quotations in a large decorative impure Textualis Formata. Article 1 in small rapid Italian Hybrida, the Latin Psalm verses in a larger and more formal form of the same script, with large opening majuscules. In the main section headings and stroking of majuscules in red; 1- and 2-line plain red initials half inserted, with large guide letters in the margin; a 3-line similar initial on f. 2r. Article 1 opens with an outline initial in black, art. 6 with a large initial with interior reserved space, placed in the margin.

Binding: Modern European parchment-covered boards, backstrip calligraphically lettered in gothic script with the author's name and title., Headlines throughout in alternating red and blue capitals, chapter numbers in margins also in alternating colors, and large capitals at beginnings of books and chapters of the text in red or blue, with extensive filiform decoration bordering the left margin in the contrasting color on leaves with such capitals, all the work of a rubricator, performed separately from the writing of the text.
