In Latin and English., Script: Written by a single English hand writing a good cursive sloping slightly to the right., Watermarks: Paper watermarked with a flag with two pennants on a pole, no initials visible, similar but not identical to Heawood 1371-1372., and Binding: Original or possibly slightly later binding of brown calf rebacked, covers with double gold rule at edges, back divided into four compartments by five bands, old (but not original) red morocco label with double border of gold dots and gold rule in second compartment from top, stamped in gold, "ALCHEMY MSS." All edges gilt.

Manuscript on paper, in a single hand, of a complete prognostication for someone born in the Haywards Heath region of Sussex, including his personality; the length of his life; his financial situation; his relationship to his father; the number of his marriages; satisfaction with his servants; the behavior of his "pretended friends"; and the kind of travel he will do. For example, the manuscript declares, "The Native should go many voyages or long journies...the chief end of his travelling should be to gain learning and honor; But the Moon and Mare being in opposition to the Ninth Hous, shewe that it should be very unproffitable to him." Manuscript, in a single secretary hand, of a treatise on the conjuration of angels. The manuscript begins with directions to conjure the airy spirits on Sunday, followed by instructions for conjurations on the other days of the week. Each entry includes a "perfume of the day." The volume also provides directions on how to draw the circle which will bind the angels; the benediction of the circle; and how to command spirits to depart. The work concludes with lists of angels by season, week, and hours. Astrological signs appear throughout, and the work also contains two astrological diagrams and The treatise is followed, in the same hand, by a play titled "The Chevalier's Progress, or Love's a Folly: a Tragi-Comedy by Samuel Hopley."

He gives the horoscopes of himself and several members of his family.
